Dr. H. Ramesh

Dr. H. Ramesh has extensive experience of over 36 years in Gastrointestinal Surgery. He has expertise in chronic pancreatitis, pancreatic and periampullary carcinoma, hepatic and bile duct tumours, basic and advanced laparoscopic surgery, and non-operative treatment of haemorrhoids. Dr. Ramesh has performed the first Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy in Kerala state and pioneer to the basic and advanced laparoscopic surgery. He acquired FACS (Fellow of American College of Surgeons) in 1996 and FRCS (Fellow of Royal College of Surgeons) in 2006. He received several awards including Young Clinicians Award (1994) and International Award for Young Surgeons (1995). He has membership in various associations including Indian Medical Association, Association of Surgeons of India, Indian Society of Gastroenterology, Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endosurgeons, Society of Laparoscopic Surgery, Indian Association of Surgical Gastroenterology, Indian Association of Surgical Oncology, Indian Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition, Society for Organ Retrieval and Transplantation, and HPB Society. He has about 100 papers published in national and international journals and 13 book chapters in medical volumes to his credit.
